MSI Z890 MPG Carbon motherboard leaked Images, supporting Intel Core Ultra 200K processors

Blogger @momomo_us (Twitter/X) released the official renders of the MSI Z890 MPG Carbon, the first MSI Z890 motherboard to be leaked but the second to be officially confirmed.

In fact, as early as June this year, several motherboard manufacturers showed their Z890 motherboards at Computex Taipei. However, due to Intel’s restrictions, it was impossible to tell everyone that the exhibit was Z890 clearly. There was one exception—BioStar Z890 SILVER, so strictly speaking, BioStar is the first officially confirmed Z890 motherboard.

According to previous leaks, Intel’s new Core Ultra 200K processor generation may be revealed on October 10. These processors need to be used with a new generation of LGA-1851-based Z890 motherboards, so major manufacturers will likely announce their Z890 products on the same day.

The MSI Z890 MPG Carbon motherboard has not been shown at Computex before, but only three photos are currently available.

As you can see, the Z890 and MSI’s previously launched X870 motherboard, which is the same name, are almost identical in terms of design layout. Both offer three PCIe x16 slots, 2.5G and 5G Ethernet ports, and Wi-Fi 7 support. The main difference is the placement of the 8-pin power connector.

On the other hand, compared to the X870 motherboard, which only offers a USB Type-C port, this Z890 motherboard provides two Thunderbolt ports; the version is yet unknown.
